Pavel “Hoff” Hoffmeister used to be a European boxing champion and Olympic medalist. After years away from top-level sport, he gets an unexpected chance at a comeback. This time, however, he enters the MMA world instead of the boxing ring – new rules, hard training, and an opponent that will not only test his physical condition, but also his character.
The film stars Milan Ondrík. It mixes a powerful personal drama with the authentic world of professional combat sports – from grueling training sessions to the atmosphere of big MMA tournaments. Alongside leading Slovak and Czech actors, the film also features real-life fighters Jiří Procházka, David Kozma, and Karlos Vémola.
Hoff is trying to fight for something greater – the lost trust of his loved ones, his dignity, and the chance to right the wrongs of his past. This story about a second chance reminds us that the toughest battles are often fought not in front of a crowd, but within ourselves.
