Dream Team

Marek is a quirky basketball coach who can’t manage to get his team into the national league. Just as he’s thinking about quitting coaching for good, his son Šimon, who has an intellectual disability, reveals his biggest dream – to play for the national team at the Paralympics in Rio. Marek decides to do everything he can to make it happen. But when he fails to put together a suitable team, he resorts to an outrageously bold scam.

With the help of his eccentric neighbor Daniel, he assembles a group of basketball players without disabilities who have to pretend otherwise. With his unsuspecting wife and his quirky “dream team” in tow, he heads to Brazil, where a plan that was shaky from the start grows more and more complicated. The film stars Martin Hofmann, Jakub Prachař, and Petra Polnišová, and it’s directed by Jonáš Karásek.
