A crime doesn’t end with a conviction. Some cases leave lasting scars.
Bratislava’s detectives are back. The second season of the crime series Neuer will build on the success of the first season, which became one of the most notable Slovak series – it won its Sunday-night ratings in Slovakia and also performed well in the Czech Republic. It also earned a nomination at the 2025 Slnko v sieti national film awards in the Best TV Film / Miniseries / Series category.
In the second season, Peter Ledecký (Marián Miezga), Machrák (Marko Igonda), and their colleagues will once again face cases inspired by real events. The new episodes will adapt additional books written by a former detective under the pseudonym Václav Neuer.
Besides investigating brutal crimes, the new season will delve deeper into the lives of the investigators themselves – their relationships, weaknesses, and the consequences of their work, which brings them face to face with the darkest sides of human nature every day. The creators of NEUER 2 also promise more humor and contrasts that will reveal the human side of the detectives on the other side of the interrogation table.
