The Chicks

The legendary “The Chicks” are back! JOJka brings viewers another powerful series story from its original production. This time from the workshop of Andy Kraus – creator of one of the most iconic Slovak TV series, Panelák. This new release promises an honest look at life after fifty – with perspective, humour, and emotion.

The main character is Jirko (Václav Vašák), a man who, after a turbulent life, is trying to find himself again. Three remarkable women enter his world – played by Zuzana Mauréry, Diana Mórová, and Zuzana Vačková. Former stars of the Panelák generation meet again in front of the camera after many years, but this time in completely new, more mature roles, dealing with ageing, relationships, desires, and second chances.

The Chicks presents a mosaic of human destinies that will appeal to both younger and older viewers – a dramedy series with equal parts laughter and emotion, as we know from Andy Kraus’ best works.
