With a tradition spanning more than twenty years, the channel airs feature films every day without ad breaks, bringing together several generations of Czech and Slovak cinema: from interwar and postwar titles to legendary comedies, award-winning dramas, and cult films from more recent decades.
2027 will feature an extraordinary selection of films that left a lasting impression on viewers, including timeless comedies Dinner for Adele, Four Murders Are Enough, Darling, You Are a Widow, Sir, Ball Lightning, Dissolved and Effused, along with the sci-fi comedy Tomorrow I’ll Wake Up and Scald Myself with Tea. Among the favorites are also Men About Town, Jára Cimrman Lying, Sleeping, Who’s That Soldier? as well as the well-known classics Business Under Distress, Nebe a dudy, and Journey into the Depth of the Student’s Soul.
Films and characters that have accompanied Czech and Slovak audiences for decades will also keep their place in the schedule. Rudolf Hrušínský returns as the legendary Švejk in The Good Soldier Švejk and I Dutifully Report, while Angel in the Mountains, Holiday with Angel, and the fairy-tale film Dařbuján and Pandrhola bring the unmistakable atmosphere of classic Czechoslovak cinema.
CS Film will also feature titles that belong among the most significant works of Czech and Slovak film history. The Cremator, The Ear, and All My Good Countrymen will showcase the power of Czechoslovak filmmaking, which combined a distinctive directorial voice with social themes and has lost none of its impact to this day.
The programming will also include crime and cult classics like The Murderer Hides His Face, Big Beat, and A Good Pal, while the modern era will be represented primarily by the fan-favorite Cosy Dens.
