JOJ Svět

JOJ Svět started airing in December 2025 as JOJ Group’s documentary channel aimed at the Czech market.

It brings audiences the same program as its Slovak counterpart, JOJ Svet: a varied mix of documentaries spanning history, culture, travel, nature, animals, and the lives of famous figures.

JOJ Svět expands the documentary offering of JOJ Group to Czech viewers and creates opportunities for content that can speak to a wide spectrum of audiences, from major historical events and the stories of iconic personalities to fascinating explorations of the world and nature.

In 2027, the channel will feature multiple noteworthy documentary projects. Wild Return follows endangered species as they return to the wilderness. It was in production for three and a half years and spans multiple countries and continents. Wild Return has given Slovak documentary filmmaking international reach, with foreign broadcasters showing interest even before its Slovak premiere.

The travel show Dve tváre sveta, with traveler Martin Navrátil, offers viewers a unique perspective on the world. India, Brazil, Nepal, Mongolia, and Uganda aren’t merely tourist destinations, but places full of contrasts, authentic encounters, and unexpected stories.

The channel will expand its programming with documentaries on history, arts, and culture. Stars of the Silver Screen follows the lives of film icons, Salvador Dali: A Tale of Two Cities introduces one of the most influential surrealists, and Pinter’s Progress offers insight into the work of Nobel Prize in Literature winner Harold Pinter.

Lovers of history can look forward to the stories behind the Russian Revolution or the historic ruler Vlad III in the Dracula Unearthed documentary. Viewers looking for relaxation, discovery, and unique visual experiences can enjoy Zázraky prírody.
