JOJ Šport and JOJ Sport 2 are established sports channels that have been constantly growing in reach, prestige, and viewer interest since their launch in 2021 or 2025.
JOJ Šport
2027 will bring an even wider selection of sports broadcasts to JOJ Šport, from the world’s biggest championships and the complete FIS calendar to Slovak leagues, European cups, and projects for young athletes. JOJ Šport and JOJ Šport 2 will be there for the year’s biggest sports moments, but also for the stories and emerging talents that could shape the future of Slovak sport.
The highlights of the year will include the Men’s World Championship in Ice Hockey, followed by the U18 and U20 Men’s Ice Hockey World Championships. The hockey lineup will also include the Deutschland Cup, Kaufland Cup, the Tipsport League, and other international and domestic competitions.
Another major chapter will be the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup. From 2027, JOJ Šport will exclusively broadcast the entire FIS calendar, including, for the first time ever, races in Austria. The schedule will also feature the 2027 FIS World Cup event in Jasná and the 2027 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Crans-Montana. With this part of the program, JOJ Šport will offer audiences the complete package of FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races.
Football fans can also look forward to the spring climax of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, including the spring playoffs and finals.
The program will also expand with the 2027 Men’s and Women’s World Handball Championships, as well as the 2027 Canoe Slalom World Cup.
Big names and new talents
Despite this wide array of major events, JOJ Šport doesn’t want to limit itself to broadcasting only the biggest moments. Supporting sport from the youngest generation up is an important part of its philosophy, as is giving a platform to talents who are only just reaching the big stage. In 2027, JOJ Šport will also feature Slovak sports personalities such as Ema Zapletalová and Matej Homola, whom viewers will see during broadcasts of the Diamond League and the GT2 Series, respectively.
Žampa Cup is another prominent feature—a series of seven continental ski races for juniors, bringing together young ski talents at races in Dubai, Oberstdorf (Germany), Pec pod Sněžkou (Czech Republic), Lech Zürs am Arlberg (Austria), Białka Tatrzańska (Poland), Bansko (Bulgaria), and Štrbské Pleso (Slovakia).
JOJ Šport 2
More sports, more live broadcasts, and more room for fans. JOJ Šport 2 expands JOJ Group’s sports range, covering additional sporting moments and events year-round.
The channel complements JOJ Šport’s broadcasts and creates more room for a wide range of sports, competitions, and athletes’ stories. Thanks to simultaneous broadcasts and broader coverage, fans can now tune in and enjoy even more live events from stadiums, arenas, and sports venues.
JOJ Šport 2 offers an engaging mix of domestic and international sporting events, from hockey and football to winter sports and other disciplines that appeal to a wider range of sports fans.
Another part of the program features acclaimed competitions and tournaments, bringing suspense, excitement, and compelling stories from the world’s best athletes. JOJ Šport 2 also creates room for sports and events that wouldn’t get enough airtime on a single channel.
JOJ Šport 2 aims to give fans more options to stay connected to their favorite sport while expanding access to quality sports content for Slovak audiences.
