The Novotný family live completely ordinary lives. The parents juggle work and running the household, while their children Simona and Petr deal with school, friends, and everyday worries. Everything changes when two teenagers from the 7th century wake up in the present day after a thousand-year slumber. Along with them, ancient Slavic gods come back to life and take over the bodies of the Novotný parents – and in an instant, the quiet household turns into a place full of magic, unexpected powers, and wildly chaotic situations.
The film stars Vica Kerekes and Petr Lněnička as the parents possessed by divine powers, alongside Anna Dvořáková and Jakub Jenčík as their children. Writer-directors Adam Hobzik and Jan Chramosta connect the world of Slavic mythology with the present day, building a family adventure on the comic clash of two completely different eras, cultures, and ways of life.
