It will bring viewers big Hollywood blockbusters, family entertainment, and the latest in action, comedy, and films based on true stories. Its film programming remains rooted in movies that speak to entire generations of viewers, while offering enticing programs for family get-togethers.
Families will be delighted by the return of one of the most beloved animated franchises with Toy Story 4, as well as the acclaimed Pixar film Turning Red. The lineup will also include new adventure films, such as Arnie & Barney, Chickenhare and the Secret of the Groundhog, and Grand Prix of Europe. The fairytale lineup will also be expanded with Three Wishes for Cinderella, a new 3D animated family film that gives the classic tale a fresh, adventurous, and comedic twist while building on themes of love, friendship, and making your wishes come true.
Sequels to successful Hollywood franchises will be among the year’s biggest draws. Now You See Me: Now You Don’t brings back the famous team of illusionists and thieves for one more grand heist, led by Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, and Isla Fisher, with a cast of new faces. The Accountant 2 will reunite Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal in an action-thriller full of dangerous secrets, conspiracies, and sibling tension.
The action genre will also be well represented. A Working Man will bring Jason Statham to the role of a man forced to return to the skills of his past after a young girl disappears. In G20, a politically charged action-thriller, Viola Davis plays the American president, who must fend off armed attackers after an attack on the world leaders’ summit. Adrenaline and suspense will continue with additions like Ice Road: Vengeance, Fight or Flight, Off the Grid, and The Pickup, an action-comedy starring Eddie Murphy, Pete Davidson, and Keke Palmer.
Superhero hits will also get plenty of screen time, starting with Black Widow and Thunderbolts, the latter uniting well-known Marvel antiheroes, led by Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, and David Harbour, on a dangerous joint mission. Heads of State will infuse some humor into the action, while Another Simple Favor will bring back an elegant combination of secrets, dark humor, and suspense.
To relieve tension and lighten the tone, the comedy You’re Cordially Invited follows Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon as they find themselves in chaos when two weddings are planned at the same venue on the same date.
The lineup will close with powerful human stories. Last Breath follows a dramatic fight for survival in extreme conditions, while Young Woman and the Sea tells the true story of swimmer Trudy Ederle, played by Daisy Ridley, the first woman to swim across the English Channel.
In 2027, TV JOJ will continue supporting Czech and Slovak cinema by bringing its viewers a rich selection of partner films. The sports drama Bojovník and the Lady Dermacol biopic will bring you powerful human stories, while Po večerce, Perfect Day, Když se zhasne, Proč bychom se nezabili, and Dream Team will deliver humor and lighter emotions.
